gratitude = joy
So I have neglected this blog and my craft room for far too long. I am jumping back into making cards and blogging about it. :) I made this card for the Unity April Monthly challenge. The "flowers" are from the April 2010 KOM. The sentiment may be from a discontinued set since I can't find it on the website to link. I know I have had it for years. :) I used this card as my inspiration: Wonderful You.

You are Amazing
This card started out to be part of the fashion challenge last month on the Unity blog. I didn't finish it time sadly. Then I saw a challenge on My Unity Place to decorate the inside of the card. You can find the challenge here: Outside, Inside Challenge. I decided to add a few touches to the inside with some patterned paper and a sentiment stamp. Not sure what I am going to do with card yet. Maybe a Mother's day card, maybe a thank you. :)

I {heart} you!
I love hearts! I am constantly doodling hearts when I am on the phone or waiting for pictures to upload. I really love heart stamps.
So Unity is started hosting a monthly challenge on their blog. Unity Stamp Company
The challenge this month is HEARTS! Yay! I had all kinds of plans to make a ton of heart cards but alas I did not accomplish "a ton." I am posting two that I finished though.
In this first card I used the heart stamps from the Co-Branded set Pixie-licious Blooms by Unity and Cosmo Cricket. The sentiment is from the You + Me = Happy set. I used the sketch on page 64 of the Go to Sketches magazine by Papercrafts for the design.
In this second card the heart is a super fun doily I found a Micheal's. The Love sentiment is from the Aug 2010 kit All you Need.... I used some sparkley red embossing powder after I stamped it to make it shine!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes
The very talented and beautiful Eva Dobilas invited me to a fabulous event she created called Butterfly Blog Linky Party! I just LOVE butterflies so I was totally game for making a card using butterflies and linking up. You can find all the details of this fun event at Eva's blog For the love of life. http://evafromca.blogspot.com/
So for my card I chose a butterfly stamp from the April 09 Kit of the Month by Unity. The sentiment is from the July 10 Kit of the Month by Unity. Pattern papers are from the Blossoms and Butterflies stack by DCWV. I used the sketch by Jessia Witty on page 150 of the Go-to Sketches magazine by Paper Crafts for the design.
I hope you get a chance to hop through all the wonderful butterfly creations linked to Eva's blog!

So here's to day 2 of blogging! :)
Today I am sharing a card I made using the PCP sketch sk010111.

The stamps are by Unity from the Hodge Podge of Happines set. The pattern papers are by Basic Grey.
Next I am sharing my Photo of the Day for the 365 Project:
I came across this little drum when we were putting away decorations. I just caught my eye and so it became the POTD. I actually took a few other photos but I'll save those for a different day. :)
I also picked my word of the year today. I have never done anything like that before but I decide to try it this year. You can find more information on it on Ali Edward blog: http://aliedwards.com/blog/one-little-word
I thought about what word to pick for a long time and actually wrote down several options. The word that came to me the most was CALM. I felt that I would really like to be CALM this year since 2010 was very chaotic. So here's to hoping I can find be CALM and keep the CALM.

Trying again
First HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here's to a wonderful 2011!! One of my resolutions this year is to take more pictures. I found a website called 365 Project that I think will help me do this. Another resolution is to blog every day. I figure if I take a picture every day I can at least blog about the photo. :) So it's just about midnight but I am still counting this as day one. :)
Here is my photo of the day:
Here is my photo of the day:
I love those stacking dolls!
Anyways here's to keeping my resolution!
