Finally won the book!

I finally won this book on ebay!! I have been trying for a couple of months and I am so excited to be able to read it. Escape is our July book for the reading group I am in. Hopefully I will receive it in time to participate in the discussion at the end of the month.

Interesting Visit

We had an interesting visit last night. I guess early this morning. We heard pounding on the door around 12:30am. I got up and saw a face in the window that I didn't know. (Why do a million things go through your head in a few seconds? ) It was a police officer. My stomach dropped! I was just shaking when I opened the door. He said a 911 call came in from a phone number that registered to our address. It was not our number. He asked me all kinds of questions and then left to check at our neighbors downstairs. I could not stop shaking for a while. So I am pretty tired today.

FRIDAY!!!

Yay! I am so happy it's finally Friday! It's been a long week of ups and downs. Tomorrow we have a party at my parents for a combined Mother's and Father's day. I get to see my sister that lives in MN and her kids. Tonight I get to R*E*L*A*X!!!!

Yesterday I got done early and did some running. I picked up my sister and nephew to take with me. It was ok but strained. Since they were will I didn't get to shop at my LSS but I did drop of my entry in the contest. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1353772 I did spend a little at Michael's though. I bought a star punch and a MS butterfly punch. (Oh and some spiderman frisbees and spongebob toy for D.)

Today wil be a long day at work though. Blah!

Sad, stressed, sick

Warning: This blog post is whining and venting. I just need to get it out.

I just don't understand why some people cannot have compassion and understanding. Why does everything have to be about you? I just don't understand why some people cannot bend a little to make others happy. I try to give everything I can to certain people thinking they will see the example. All they see is someone to take advantage of. It's so hard for me to walk away and stop helping this person. It's so hard for me to say no when they ask for help. It's also so hard when I ask for a small favor that I am told no. That I am told I am not important enough. That I don't matter. I feel like I have wasted so much time, money, patience, energy, life. Why are we taught that if you help others they will help you? What is the point of helping others? Why do I keep trying help this person? Why can't I just give up?

I just want to go home and curl up and cry.

I had fun making the purse cards. They are for two nieces with birthdays coming up. I hope they like them as much as I do!

A new Favorite

I love these bars. They are perfect for after lunch. High in fiber and low in calories and fat. I seem to always need a "sweet" thing after a meal. In my quest to make better choices I have found this bar to be a great compromise to a "bad" dessert. Yum!
