I {heart} you!

I love hearts!  I am constantly doodling hearts when I am on the phone or waiting for pictures to upload.  I really love heart stamps.

So Unity is started hosting a monthly challenge on their blog.  Unity Stamp Company

The challenge this month is HEARTS!  Yay!  I had all kinds of plans to make a ton of heart cards but alas I did not accomplish "a ton."  I am posting two that I finished though.

In this first card I used the heart stamps from the Co-Branded set Pixie-licious Blooms by Unity and Cosmo Cricket.  The sentiment is from the You + Me = Happy set.  I used the sketch on page 64 of the Go to Sketches magazine by Papercrafts for the design.

In this second card the heart is a super fun doily I found a Micheal's.  The Love sentiment is from the Aug 2010 kit All you Need....  I used some sparkley red embossing powder after I stamped it to make it shine!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes

The very talented and beautiful Eva Dobilas invited me to a fabulous event she created called Butterfly Blog Linky Party!  I just LOVE butterflies so I was totally game for making a card using butterflies and linking up.  You can find all the details of this fun event at Eva's blog For the love of lifehttp://evafromca.blogspot.com/

So for my card I chose a butterfly stamp from the April 09 Kit of the Month by Unity.  The sentiment is from the July 10 Kit of the Month by Unity.  Pattern papers are from the Blossoms and Butterflies stack by DCWV.  I used the sketch by Jessia Witty on page 150 of the Go-to Sketches magazine by Paper Crafts for the design.

I hope you get a chance to hop through all the wonderful butterfly creations linked to Eva's blog!

Painting the Roses

So this is the third week of challenges for the Oh Alice blog.  The challenge this week was to use the colors red, blue and PURPLE.  This card started out so wonderful in my head and did not turn out that way.  Sigh.  I really debated whether to even post it but I decided I have participated in the other two challenges so I didn't want skip this one.  The background stamp is by Great Impressions.  The flowers and sentiment are digi stamps by Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored the flowers red, blue and purple for this weeks color challenge.  I then used Glossy Accents over the color to make it look like wet paint.  I really liked how it looked.

thinking of you card

I made this card using the Mojo 124 sketch.

I intended to use this sketch when it was originally posted on the Mojo Monday blog but I didn't get around to it. Actually I have a tendency to print out sketches and not use them right away. Oh well I still liked how this one turned out. I am also entering it to the Moxie Fab challenge.

The stamps are by Unity. The butterfly punch is Martha Stewart. Pearls are by Reflections (I believe they are the Michael's brand). Papers are by Making Memories.

Wonderful You

I created this card for the Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab Blog. The card used for the trigger had a lot of yellow. I tend to shy away from yellow but I am happy with the result. The stamped sentiment is from the October Store Kit of the Month by Unity. I used a Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom of the kraft cardstock. The pearls are by Prima.

I found a new challenge blog called Oh Alice. The challenges are based around Alice in Wonderland. How fun is that? The first challenge was to get inspiration from this awesome make up kit:

I broke out my Shroomies stamp by Queen Kat. The sentiment stamp is by Unity from the November 2009 Kit of the Month.

Here is my take:

I really enjoyed this challenge and I can't wait to see what's in store for the second challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo 111 - Owlways in my heart

How about a little Mojo Monday on Sunday. LOL! It feels like I have been unable to create for so long. I was sick with the flu for the last week. I finally felt good enough to venture in my scrap room yesterday and I came up with a card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge.

Here was this week's sketch:

And my take on the sketch:

Isn't that owl just adorable! The owl and sentiment are from the October 2009 Kit of the Month by Unity.

enjoy IHPBB2

Here is the Day 2 card I made for the challenge for the birthday celebration over at I {heart} papers! The challenge for Day 2 was to use a non traditional fold. When I checked out Design Team member Deb's blog: With a Stamp and a Song she had a link to this tutorial: Spring card tutorials I love the look of this type of card so I decided to try it:

I used some American Crafts paper I had in my stash for the card base. I used Nestabilities Classic Squares for the image square and the pink square. These Nestabilities can be found in the I {heart} paper store here: Nestabilites Classic Squares The cupcake is from the Mix Up of Cuteness set by Unity also found in the I {heart} papers store. I used grape stickles on the frosting and Glossy Accents on the cherry (both also found in the I {heart} papers store).

Birthday Wishes IHPBB1

Here is my first entry for this week's birthday batch over at I {Heart} Papers! The Day 1 challenge was to use the colors from their logo: celery, light blue, rose and black.

I embossed part of the background with a cuttlebug folder. I punched the scallop square and added baby blue stickles to the scallops.(available in the I {heart} papers store here: baby blue stickles ) I added a party hat by American Crafts and bling on the hat. Some ribbon, a flower, another bling gem and the sentiment and done! The sentiment is part of the Love in the Air kit by Unity.
